Wilhelmsen Ahrenkiel Ship Management is a ship manager based in Hamburg, Germany, with entities in Rhoon, the Netherlands, and Singapore. At our branch office in Rhoon (Rotterdam area, The Netherlands) we are looking for a Technical Assistant (m/f/d).
Your responsibilities:
As part of our fleet team, your duties include:
- Providing technical assistance to Vessel Managers for a group of selected vessels
- Working closely with the Wilhelmsen procurement team for all requisitions, orders, and related logistics
- Coordinating and monitoring logistics of priority parts
- Coordinating and monitoring logistics of services requested on board, which includes all required documents and travel arrangements for service engineers, when required
- Monitoring of the parts and service overview list for all dry-docking orders
- Monitoring the required annual health inspections of the selected equipment on board of the vessels
- Being in charge of the overview and coordination of the general stock of the fleet vessels
- Updating regular weekly, monthly yearly reports of the vessels
- Overseeing the office archive of the vessel’s manuals and drawings.
- Coordinating and handling digital archiving of vessels reports and documents
- Archiving relevant e-mails in the technical team inboxes
Your profile:
- Preferably you have professional experience in ship management or related industry as a technical assistant or a similar role
- You have very good communication skills
- You enjoy working independently, are well-organized and a team player
- You have good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Expert knowledge of MS Office is essential
- EU working entitlement is essential
